600th Anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt Conference, recordings are now online

The 600th Anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt Conference took place at the University of Southampton from 31 July to 3 August.

There was a range of papers given on subjects pertaining to Agincourt and warfare in the period, which included topics such as arms and armour, medieval strategy, naval warfare and the costs of war.

The key note speakers at the conference included Professor Bertrand Schnerb, Dr Andrew Ayton, Dr Ian Mortimer and Dr Alexzandra Hildred.  Delegates to the conference also had the opportunity to take part in excursions to visit the Mary Rose, Portchester Castle, Titchfield Barn, Titchfield Abbey and Fort Nelson.

There was also a public study session on the Saturday with papers given by Professor Jon Adams, Peter Hoskins, Martin Knight, Mark Hinsley, Sean McGlynn, Dr Mike Jones and Dr Ian Mortimer.
