Agincourt 600 Poetry Competition

1st November 2015 - 31st January 2016

Critically acclaimed and multi-prize winning poet Daljit Nagra has thrown down the gauntlet to noble young poets everywhere to claim the title: Winner of the Agincourt 600 Poetry Competition. This exciting competition has been created by The Poetry Society’s Young Poets Network in partnership with Agincourt 600. It invites young people to find out about the history and legacy of the battle and to create a poem that explores this battle afresh in the year of its 600th anniversary.

The competition has two age categories, one for primary school children and one for secondary school children with a winner in each category. Prizes will include a certificate, £100 of book tokens and a day of poetry workshops at the winners’ school. Runners-up will receive £50 of book tokens. All winners and runners-up will be published on Young Poets Network and on The Poetry Society webpage.
