Agincourt Cantata, Felsted Choral Society, Felsted School, Essex

Felsted Choral Society will be performing the cantata 'Agincourt' by George Dyson on Sunday November 22nd at Felsted School. An Open Rehearsal of the piece will also take place for anyone interested in taking part on Sunday October 25th, the anniversary of the battle. The work is in six contrasting sections, linked by short orchestral introductions. The text is largely from Shakespeare’s Henry V, with the 15th-century 'Hymn after Agincourt' forming the concluding part. This splendid work is rarely performed…

Agincourt and the Blackheath Connection, Blackheath, London

Henry V was met by the Lord Mayor and Aldermen of London at Blackheath on his return from the battle. Professor Anne Curry will be giving a talk on Agincourt and the Blackheath Connection, at the Blackheath Halls Recital Room on Tuesday November 24 at 8pm. Monmouthshire in the Age of Agincourt, Gwent Archives

Monmouthshire Antiquarian Association, Gwent Archives and Gwent County History are hosting a study day at Gwent Archives based around the commemoration of Agincourt. Professor Anne Curry, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Professor of Medieval History at Southampton University will provide the lecture. Details of other speakers will be announced shortly. A collection of medieval documents will be on display. It is hoped that the medieval heritage of 15th century Monmouthshire will be showcased at this event. Price £5…
